On November 8th, Mississippians will vote on a constitutional amendment that will state whether a fertilized human egg can be legally defined as a person. If voters decide that “person-hood” is defined in this way, the amendment will:

Lisa Simeone, a freelance host of the radio series SoundPrint, broadcast on a National Public Radio (NPR) affiliate, has been fired for code of ethics violations. The offense stemmed from her role as an informal spokeswoman for October 2011, a group active in the Occupy D.C. protest.
