This year Florida enacted a bill requiring drug testing of all welfare applicants. Florida judge, Mary Scriven, recently ruled the bill is unconstitutional as it violates the fourth amendment prohibiting unreasonable searches. Judge Scriven’s ruling will stand until a full hearing takes place.
